LOCTITE 518 Gasketing Sealant – 2096062

LOCTITE 518 Gasketing Sealant (Part No. 2096062) is a primerless, semi-flexible, anaerobic form-in-place flange sealant designed to seal close-fitting joints between rigid metal surfaces. It cures in the absence of air and delivers reliable sealing performance even in the presence of minor surface contaminants, helping to simplify assembly and maintenance processes.

LOCTITE 518 provides immediate resistance to low pressures after flange assembly and flexes with minor flange movements caused by vibration, pressure, or thermal changes. It is especially well suited for aluminum substrates, offering excellent flexibility on low-copper aluminum and other passive metals, while also performing effectively on active metals such as mild steel.

With gap-filling capability up to 0.25 mm (0.01″), LOCTITE 518 is commonly used as a form-in-place gasket for pumps, compressors, thermostats, transmission housings, and axle covers, delivering long-term, leak-free sealing in demanding industrial environments.
