The Altivar Soft Starter ATS480C66Y is a robust and intelligent solution for starting and stopping asynchronous motors in demanding industrial applications. Operating from 208V to 690V AC, it supports motors rated between 160kW and 630kW depending on voltage, with an operational current of 660A (normal duty).
Engineered for modern industrial needs, the ATS480 features advanced torque control (TCS) for smooth acceleration and deceleration, dynamic braking, and DC injection—ideal for stopping high-inertia machinery. It can be connected in-line or inside the delta, with an embedded test routine that simplifies commissioning.
Designed for digitization and cybersecurity, this soft starter integrates seamlessly into EcoStruxure™ architecture and is fully compatible with legacy ATS48 systems. It supports shared accessories (display terminals, I/O, communication modules) with Altivar drives and complies with IEC/EN60947-4-1 standards.
