The Megadyne T5-1380-10 is part of the MEGAPOWER 2 series, a new generation of thermoset polyurethane timing belts developed to provide superior dynamic performance and extended service life. Compared to the first generation Megapower, MEGAPOWER 2 belts offer up to 30% higher performance, thanks to advanced molding processes and optimized material composition.
Constructed with a grey/green thermoset polyurethane body (88 ShA) and high-strength helically wound zinc-coated steel cords, this belt ensures high breaking load capacity, minimal elongation, and stable transmission under heavy loads. The polyurethane compound provides excellent resistance to wear, shock loads, hydrolysis, oils, and greases, ensuring reliability in diverse environments.
The parabolic tooth profile guarantees smooth engagement with pulleys, consistent torque transfer, and reduced stress on both the belt and pulley system. With low pretension requirements, high angular speed accuracy, and linear speeds up to 20 m/s, the T5-1380-10 is engineered for precision and efficiency in modern machinery.
