Description
The MEGAPOWER 2 AT5-500 is part of Megadyne’s new generation of thermoset polyurethane timing belts, engineered to outperform the first generation by up to 30% higher performance. Manufactured using an advanced molding process, the belt offers superior dynamic performance, higher transmittable power, and excellent dimensional stability.
The belt body is made of grey/green thermoset polyurethane (88 ShA hardness), providing resistance against wear, abrasion, and shock loads encountered in demanding stop/start cycles. Reinforced with high-strength helically wound zinc-coated steel cords, it ensures extremely low elongation and high tensile strength, while also being available with Kevlar, fiberglass, stainless steel, HP, HF, or HPF cords for specialized applications.
With its precise AT5 pitch and endless construction, the MEGAPOWER 2 ensures smooth, slip-free operation at linear speeds up to 20 m/s, making it suitable for both power transmission and motion control systems where accuracy and reliability are critical.
