Description
The VarSet automatic capacitor bank with detuned reactor belongs to the PowerLogic and is designed for demanding electrical networks with polluted harmonic conditions. With a reactive power rating of 250 kVar at 400–415 V AC, 50 Hz, it incorporates a detuned reactor (DR3.8) tuned at 190 Hz to protect the capacitors and prevent resonance effects.
This automatic system uses a VarplusLogic power factor controller to continuously adjust reactive power compensation based on load demand. It supports RS485 Modbus communication and integrates with EcoStruxure Power for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and IoT-enabled energy management.
Built for reliability, the floor-standing RAL7035 enclosure includes bottom-entry connections protected by a circuit breaker and offers IP31 protection (upgradeable to IP54). It is equipped with long-life Varplus capacitors compliant with IEC 60831-1 & IEC 60831-2 and meets CE, IEC 61921, and IEC 61439 standards.
This solution is ideal for industrial and commercial applications with variable or unstable loads, where harmonic mitigation and automatic power factor correction are critical for optimal system performance.
