Description
LOCTITE 601 Retaining Compound is a green, high-strength anaerobic adhesive formulated for the permanent retention of cylindrical assemblies such as bearings, bushings, sleeves, and shafts.
Its low-viscosity dimethacrylate ester acrylic formulation allows it to penetrate tight clearances, making it suitable for assemblies with a maximum diametrical clearance of 0.1 mm (0.004″). LOCTITE 601 cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, forming a strong bond that prevents loosening, leakage, and fretting corrosion caused by shock and vibration.
With a fixture time of approximately 25 minutes on steel and a wide operating temperature range from -55°C to 150°C, this retaining compound is ideal for demanding industrial and maintenance applications requiring long-term reliability and permanent assembly.
