Description
The SKF FRB 5.1/200 locating (stabilizing) ring is designed to secure bearings in the locating position by preventing axial displacement in the housing. When the bearing seat width does not match the bearing width, stabilizing rings are used to fill the gap and guarantee proper seating and stability.
Usually, two locating rings are installed per housing—one on each side of the bearing. If only one ring is required, it should always be positioned on the same side as the lock nut for secure axial fixation.
