The SKF TSN 518 L four-lip seal is engineered as the first barrier of defense in SNL bearing housings. Replacing older double-lip designs, the four-lip configuration offers superior sealing efficiency with reduced friction, allowing higher shaft speeds and extending service life. Its design ensures that lubrication remains inside the housing while harmful contaminants are effectively blocked.
In demanding and highly contaminated environments, the TSN 518 L is recommended as part of SKF’s innovative three-barrier solution. This setup significantly enhances the protection of mounted bearings, as contaminants must pass through multiple barriers before reaching the bearing, dramatically extending operational uptime and reducing maintenance costs.
Made from durable thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPE), the TSN 518 L offers long-lasting reliability under harsh conditions. Each seal pack includes two seals (four halves), making it convenient for replacement and installation.
