Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive – ATV320U06N4C

The Schneider Electric Altivar Machine ATV320 (ATV320U06N4C) is a compact, high-performance variable speed drive (VSD) designed to power three-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors at voltages ranging from 380V to 500V AC. With a rated power of 0.55kW (0.75HP), it meets both simple and complex application needs in industrial automation and OEM environments.

Thanks to its compact form factor, the drive supports vertical stacking within machine panels, making it ideal for space-constrained installations. Built to IEC 60721-3-3 class 3C3 standards, its coated PCBs allow reliable operation in harsh environments and high temperatures—up to 60°C without additional cooling.

This drive offers high dynamic performance, accurate speed and torque control, and supports both sensorless flux vector control and extended frequency range for high-speed motors. It also allows parallel motor operation and energy-efficient open-loop synchronous motor control using voltage/frequency ratio methods.

For safety, the ATV320 includes 5 built-in safety functions, configurable via SoMove software, and fully compatible with Schneider’s Preventa safety modules. The drive integrates seamlessly into EcoStruxure Machine architecture, allowing configuration and monitoring via SoMove and SoMachine through a single software interface (DTM).

Certified for global standards (IEC, UL, CE, CSA, EAC, NOM, RCM), this drive is ideal for applications in packaging, material handling, textiles, hoisting, and mechanical actuation. A wide range of compatible accessories including braking resistors, chokes, and EMC filters are also available to enhance system performance.
