The Altivar Machine ATV320 variable speed drive is a high-performance, compact solution for controlling 3-phase synchronous and asynchronous motors in demanding industrial environments. With a rated power of 4kW (5 hp) and a supply voltage of 380 to 500V AC, this drive offers robust functionality tailored for OEM applications such as packaging, hoisting, material working, and mechanical actuators.
Its compact design allows for vertical stacking inside machine frames, saving space while enhancing efficiency. Built to operate in harsh conditions (ambient temperatures up to 60°C), the ATV320 features 3C3-coated PCBs compliant with IEC 60721-3-3, extending service life and machine availability.
The drive supports advanced motor control with flux vector control without sensor, parallel motor connection, and energy-saving open-loop control for synchronous motors. Safety is prioritized with five built-in safety functions, easily configured via SoMove software.
Backed by international certifications (CE, UL, CSA, EAC, RCM), the ATV320 also integrates seamlessly into Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine environment, enabling easy configuration, control, and diagnostics via DTM, SoMachine, and SoMove platforms.
Mounting is straightforward with a wall-mount design and four fixing holes, and a wide range of compatible external accessories are available, including EMC filters, braking resistors, and chokes.
