Description
The VarSet automatic capacitor bank with detuned reactor is part of the PowerLogic, engineered for environments with polluted harmonic networks. Delivering 50 kVar of reactive power at 400–415 V AC, 50 Hz, it incorporates a detuned reactor (DR3.8) tuned at 190 Hz to protect capacitors and prevent resonance, making it suitable for networks with up to 7% voltage distortion or 20% current distortion.
The system operates automatically using a VarplusLogic power factor controller, ensuring optimal compensation based on load variations. It integrates with EcoStruxure Power via RS485 Modbus communication, enabling smart monitoring, diagnostics, and seamless IoT integration for efficient power management.
Designed with a floor-standing RAL7035 enclosure, it features a compact yet robust structure with bottom-entry connections and IP31 protection (upgradeable to IP54). Built with long-life Varplus capacitors compliant with IEC 60831-1 and IEC 60831-2, and certified to IEC 61921 and IEC 61439 standards, it ensures reliable and safe operation in industrial and commercial environments.
