Description
The VarSet automatic capacitor bank with detuned reactor is part of the PowerLogic and is specifically designed for environments with harmonic distortion. With a reactive power rating of 100 kVar at 400–415 V AC, 50 Hz, this system includes a detuned reactor (DR4.2) to protect capacitors and prevent resonance with harmonics.
The automatic system continuously adjusts reactive power compensation using a VarplusLogic controller, ensuring optimal power factor and improved system efficiency. It supports stable operation in industrial and commercial applications with non-linear loads.
Equipped with RS485 Modbus communication and compatible with EcoStruxure Power, it enables smart monitoring, remote diagnostics, and seamless integration into digital power systems.
The floor-standing enclosure (RAL7035) features a modular design with separate sections for the capacitor and detuned reactor, both protected under IP31 (upgradeable to IP54). It includes a bottom-entry incomer protected by a circuit breaker and is certified to IEC 61921, IEC 61439-1 & 2, and IEC 60831-1 & 2 standards.
This solution is ideal for installations with harmonic pollution, providing enhanced protection, improved power quality, and long-term reliability.
