Description
The PowerLogic ION7400 Power Quality Meter is part of the PowerLogic range and is designed to provide advanced monitoring and analysis of electrical systems. It combines powerful measurement capabilities with compact design, making it suitable for utility feeder monitoring, industrial power management, and critical power applications.
The meter delivers accurate three-phase energy and power measurements while also providing advanced power quality monitoring, including Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and Rapid Voltage Changes (RVC) detection. It features 512 MB of onboard memory, enabling extensive data storage such as waveform captures, RMS logging, energy trends, alarms, and historical logs.
Designed for system integration, the device supports multiple communication protocols and channels, allowing easy connectivity with SCADA systems and Power Monitoring Expert software for detailed analysis and reporting. The meter also incorporates strong cybersecurity features, including secure communication protocols like HTTPS and SFTP, security event logging, and Syslog support, along with the ability to enable or disable communication ports and manage up to 16 configurable user accounts.
For accurate event analysis, the ION7400 supports precise time synchronization (±1 ms) using methods such as PTP (IEEE 1588), NTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII (RS485), and network time synchronization.
The device includes 3 digital inputs and 1 digital output, with optional I/O modules available for additional functionality such as relay outputs, analog outputs, and analog inputs. It supports a wide control power supply range of 90–415 VAC or 110–415 VDC, making it adaptable for various electrical installations.
With a panel-mounted 1/4 DIN design and integrated display, the meter provides convenient monitoring and configuration directly from the front panel. It is engineered for demanding environments, operating within a temperature range of -25 °C to +70 °C, humidity levels of 5–95%, and altitudes up to 3000 m.
