Description
LOCTITE 603 Retaining Compound is a one-part, anaerobic adhesive formulated for the permanent retention of close-fitting cylindrical assemblies. Its low-viscosity formulation allows it to wick easily into tight gaps, making it ideal for press fits, interference fits, and slip-fitted parts with minimal clearance.
Once cured in the absence of air between metal surfaces, LOCTITE 603 delivers high mechanical strength, preventing loosening caused by shock, vibration, or rotational forces. It is particularly effective for securing roller bearings, oil-impregnated bushings, sleeves, and shafts within housings.
In addition to mechanical retention, LOCTITE 603 also provides excellent corrosion protection, preventing fretting and rust formation between assembled metal parts. This makes it a reliable solution for demanding industrial and maintenance applications where long-term performance is critical.
