Description
The SEW Eurodrive BGE1.5 (8253854) is a high-performance brake rectifier module engineered for electromagnetic motor brake assemblies. It operates as a half-wave rectifier with an integrated current relay and electronic switching, allowing fast, reliable brake operation and controlled cut-off of the DC circuit.
This rectifier optimizes brake release by initiating super-magnetization and then switching to reduced holding current, minimizing wear and heat during continuous operation. Its design also includes over-voltage protection to guard the brake coil and circuit under transient conditions.
